New economical MCU series CS8M321/326

Recently, TGS (stock code: 688595) has launched the CS8M321 (M321 for short) and CS8M326 (M326 for short) series of ADC module economical MCUs. This series of MCUs integrates 12-bit single-ended ADC, low temperature drift reference, capacitance measurement module CVC and other signal chain modules, accurately meeting the conventional voltage, current, temperature, and capacitance signal measurement needs.

In terms of performance, the M321/M326 series MCUs use Xinhai Technology's 8-bit RISC core with independent intellectual property rights, built-in 8K/4K×16-bit Flash and 488/232 bytes of SRAM, ensuring powerful data processing capabilities. At the same time, they also have low power consumption and wide operating voltage (2.2V~5.5V) and other characteristics, so that they can perform well in application scenarios such as e-cigarettes, personal care, TWS charging bins, tool battery packs, sensors, etc.

12-bit single-ended ADC: Accurate measurement simplifies design

The 12-bit single-ended ADC module of M321/M326 is its core highlight, which can simplify circuit design, reduce power consumption and adapt to more application scenarios, bringing more convenience and choices to customers.

M321/M326 provides measurement solutions with higher accuracy, faster speed and wide voltage, and can maintain excellent performance in complex environments.

1) High accuracy: INL/DNL=±1/±0.5LSB, and optimized for small signal measurement to reduce offset and temperature drift. At the same time, it integrates a 1.245V low-temperature drift reference, 100ppm/℃ (2% at full temperature) to ensure measurement accuracy.

2) Fast speed: Switching reference/channel only takes 1μS, no waiting; the maximum sampling rate can reach 125kHz, and the conversion time is 8μS, which meets the needs of fast measurement.

3) Wide voltage: The operating voltage range covers 2.2~5.5V, and the ADC operating voltage is as low as 2.2V, which can adapt to complex environments.

Low voltage detection LVD: ensure stable operation of the system

M321/M326 series MCU supports the configuration of LVD function, which is used to indicate whether the working voltage is lower than the reasonable working range. The specific advantages are as follows:

1) Fast speed: The filtering/delay time is only 16 instruction cycles. Taking the 4MHz instruction cycle as an example, the LVD delay is 4μS, which responds quickly to voltage changes.

2) Multi-level threshold: Provides three trigger voltage thresholds of 2.15V/2.55V/2.8V, which can be flexibly configured according to different application scenarios to ensure stable operation of the system.

Level reversal detection LVRES: save power consumption and improve efficiency

M321/M326 series MCU has a built-in LVRES module, which supports the timing detection of external level reversal signals of IO ports in the MCU sleep state: high/level reversal, low level/floating state reversal.

This function can save users an external pull-up resistor in scenarios such as electronic cigarette cartridge plug-in detection, reduce static power consumption (static power consumption is only 2μA), and improve system efficiency.

Power-on programming: high reliability, fast upgrade

The M326 series MCU also supports two-wire power-on programming, which is perfectly adapted to the low-cost 6 PIN typeC power-on upgrade solution. It has the characteristics of high reliability and fast upgrade speed, providing users with a more convenient upgrade experience.
